NHMR specializes in medium and large diesel and gas engines for industrial and marine applications. Moped engines often have pressed big ends with roller bearings for which we would be happy to refer you to a specialist.

That depends on the brand, size and complexity of the work. Between ‘finished while you wait’ to the flattening of a separate cylinder head or more than a year for the overhaul of a special engine whose parts are very poorly available or even have to be made new.

Yes, although we like to select and order all engine parts ourselves, that is even our preference in some circumstances. For example, with very difficult to obtain parts of antique or classic (hobby) motorcycles. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the installation of parts supplied by ourselves.

We advise in this case to a ship/yacht yard or a company located directly on the water. We often carry out partial revisions on behalf of these specialist companies that also carry out removals and installations. For professional and commercial vessels, we provide all services at (worldwide) locations.

That could be, but the overhaul company can often supply it for an equally competitive or even better price. Our specialists can also help you provide technical advice and sometimes offer alternatives. For real on-liners we also have our own webshop: www.dutchengineparts.nl

No, only 4-stroke petrol, diesel, gas and alternative fuel (piston) engines.

We would like to advise on the purchase of special tools, but unfortunately we cannot lend them.

In most cases, that could be cheaper than a complete overhaul. However, you never know what you will get and in practice you will have to be lucky with a good copy of the same type.

As an alternative, NHMR only supplies new engines and parts in addition to overhauling if the engine can no longer be repaired as a result of major damage. We also supply new industrial and marine engines for first assembly and provide machine builders and shipyards with extensive advice on this.

No, tuning is a profession in its own right. For this we would like to refer you to companies that specialize in this.

Yes, we are happy to carry out machining operations such as grinding the crankshaft or drilling and honing cylinders, but also partial overhauls such as cylinder head or fuel pump overhaul.
